Your Role:

  • The main objective of your PhD project is the generation and characterization of human pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes. You will use cutting edge technologies to resolve cellular mechanisms underlying cardiogenesis and inflammatory processes of the diseased heart.
  • Your project will make a decisive contribution to the development of new cellular therapeutics.
  • Your PhD work is embedded in the BMBF-funded iCARE consortium:
  • You will publish your findings in academic journals.
  • You conduct your experimental work using human pluripotent stem cells and mouse models.

Your Profile:

  • You have a masters or diploma in biology, biotechnology or molecular medicine.
  • You have experience in cultivating and differentiating human pluripotent stem cells.
  • Familiarity in working with mouse models and tissue analysis is a plus.
  • You are passionate about cardiovascular research.
  • Your goal-oriented personality and proactive approach enables you to successfully complete projects.
  • Good English language skills and the ability to work within a team complete your profile.
